Eye Nut
Oval or round in shape, and rated for different types of applications, eye nuts (eyenuts) are looped-head fasteners designed to receive a hook or rope.
Load-rated eye nuts are designed for vertical lifting, but are not recommended for use with angular lifts. Non-load-rated eye nuts are not rated for lifting applications, and are instead designed for use with tie downs and guiding wires.
It’s common for eye nuts to differ in regards to material and finish, with metallic eye nuts made of aluminum, brass, bronze, steel, hardened steel, stainless steel, titanium, and proprietary alloys.
