Safety Latch Kit
A safety latch kit is designed to help keep rigging and attachments in the hook, under slack conditions.
That said, hook latches, often called safety latches, are not designed nor intended to support the load.
Either way, finding the proper replacement latch for a hook isn’t always easy. Manufacturing patterns change over time, and in many cases, hooks that serve different purposes will have different latches, though the hooks have similar dimensions.
