Swagers and Cutters
A method of securing wire rope or aircraft cable with a permanently applied fitting or sleeve, swaging can transform a piece of metal into a desired shape through pressure or hammering.
A swage is the shaped tool used to transform the object's shape into the desired form by bending or shaping.
A wire rope cutter is generally not used to grab or turn anything, as it is intended for the cutting of wire. A wire rope cutting function can exist as part of the same tool that performs swaging, or it can be a stand-alone tool.
